LeRoy Falcon, Director of the Gadsden YMCA will be speaking to the association about the well-being of the YMCA and the value it has for our community. The YMCA has overcome some major financial concerns, but is doing much better. Renovations are underway at the YMCA and Mr. Falcon would like to share the progress and the goals.

However, we must reach 250 pre-orders before the plates can go into production, so we need your help! FREE BASIC CARPENTRY CLASS•
The Alabama Home Builders Foundation has partnered with Gadsden State Community College to offer a free basic residential carpentry course to adults (18 & older) in the area. The course will take place on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from Sept. 28th to Nov. 9th at the Gadsden State Community College carpentry workshop, 600 Valley St, Gadsden. The class, taught by Lynn White, will cover the basics of residential carpentry such as safety instruction, construction layout and reading blueprints, framing, window and door installation, and siding and exterior trim. All who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion from the Home Builders Association of Alabama.
